2023 Plant Start CSA is CLOSED! Orders will open in January 2024
What is a Plant Start CSA? Gooseberry Bridge Farm grows all of our annual plants and garden starts from seed each year. CSA stands for community supported agriculture. Farmers often have the costs and many hours of work in their products before they are ever ready for market. Farmers establish CSAs to link communities to farms by asking their communities to provide financial support in exchange for goods in advance of the season. In exchange for making an early investment before the season starts, the member typically receives more than fair market value in goods during the growing season. In this Plant CSA you will will receive all of your plants in one or two pick ups - and you'll benefit from knowing where your plants are coming from and that you’ve reserved your garden early - just as if you were starting the seeds at home yourself! We pride ourselves in using all organic growing methods and offering plants that we know will give you the best chance of success growing here in the Ozarks. Your Plant Start CSA order comes with garden tech support! Meaning you can message or email us anytime throughout the growing season with questions about your plants, pests, or anything else related to your garden! We are hoping to have even more educational handouts ready to go with your plants this year! Limited CSA shares are available and some plant selections may be limited. All orders must be placed and paid in full by March 1st to receive the discount listed below. If the CSA slots fill up, we may not have space to grow extra plants for a plant sale as we have done in previous years, so get your orders in now! *NEW* Spring Garden ADD-ON: Pick up will be around the 1st of April (give or take, make sure to order by Feb 1st for Spring Plants!) Summer Gardens: We will have pick up times posted the first week in May. Several packages are available with Spring or Summer garden starts! We specialize in heirloom tomato and pepper starts. Our starts are grown using organic practices. Our tomato starts are quite large when it is time to plant them in the ground, giving your garden a head start! How it works: When you order (by Feb 1st if you plan to add a Spring Garden and March 1st for Summer plants ) you may choose from the types of plants I am growing (tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, sauce/roma tomatoes, cucumbers, squash ) and I will do my best to fill your tray with your selections but in the event of seed/crop failure I may need to make substitutions (and/or give you extra plants!). See our entire (mostly up to date for 2023, some varieties are limited availability) variety list here, or let us customize your garden based on your general preferences! Customized gardens are our most popular! No refunds will be issued as long as substitutions are available (if there are choices I will message you about them and you may also switch out any of my selections with other options available upon pick up!). Plants that are not picked up by the TBA deadline will be considered abandoned and will be rehomed.
